The saddest thing about nuclear power is that the Cold War ruined it. Soviet retardation aside BWRs would've dominated had militaries not forced PWRs on us. Japs have been refining them for like 60 years and all but the first gen (like Fukushima, though they're mostly fixed now) are incredibly safe. Gen III+ BWRs are so good investments in SMRs and MSRs seem like a total waste to me.
