Let's say, theoretically, a mechanic sent me a work order for 6k, fixing a variety of issues. I then edited said work order, saying I only agree to pay for one of the issues. The mechanic then failed to notice my change, and performed all the maintenance originally listed. Would I have to pay for services I explicitly didn't consent to? Are there any legal problems in the way of this plan?

I just had $7,000 worth of medical bills from my ER visit earlier this year sent to collections, despite the hospital telling me they would suspend all charge-offs until the pandemic was dealt with and despite me making monthly payments of $25 even though I was unemployed.
