Hey /biz/

I used to work in Marketing, but I hated it so quit about a year ago. I only have like 2.5 years of experience in it. I am still unemployed so when people ask me what I do, I still tell them digital marketing.

I got a massage a few days ago, and my massage therapist told me he was actually looking for someone to do marketing for her personal practice. I am retarded so I told her I could help her out and got her email and told her I'd reach out.

If I didn't reach out it would be no skin off my dick, but I feel like I'm constantly leaving money on the table with shit like this because I get a surprising amount of people telling me they need marketing services after I tell them what I "do". Maybe it's because I am typically genuinely curious and a decent listener, but I think if I could basically just do client outreach and have a team of freelancers, ideally from upwork or something, that could do the actual work I could set up a nice little semi-involved income stream for myself.

Anyone have any tips for doing something like this? I know I'm not the first person to think of this idea.
Any insight on vetting talent on upwork, things to watch out for, price ranges to be looking in/staying away from? I know for this client I'd need someone capable with Facebook & google ads, a simple website (this would be the easiest part--have some web dev experience), and some sort of booking service that I could set up myself.

Any input on this would be much appreciated, thanks /biz/
