The advantage of Bitcoin is that it can't be inflated away by a central bank or central government. It is supposed to be a replacement of fiat currencies that doesn't require staff to audit. That's why the establishments around the world fear it because it's a threat to their system. Gold and silver are different beasts entirely. I prefer it because it is the only asset that has zero counter party risk if you hold it.
