There's a lot of people talking about this browser lately. I wanted to do my fellow /g/entoomen a service by clearing some things up. There's a citation list at the bottom of this post for doubters.

Brave:
>Completely FOSS
>IPFS Support OOTB
>Optional Tor tabs
>Extremely fast page loads
>Regularly incorporates patches from UG Chromium
>Built-in Ad-blocker partly based on uBO, frequently updated
>Regarded as a top tier, secure, privacy browser by credentialed academic researchers
>Optional lightweight torrent client for inspecting a torrent before passing it off to your actual client
>Best in class protection against fingerprinting via contextually driven randomization algorithms
>All the extension and DRM'd media playback support of Chromium
>Sync works independently of Google and utilizes blockchain technology
>No telemetry (unless you opt in to Brave Rewards)
>Completely optional (opt-in) rewards program for people who want to get thrown some change for watching ads provided via an anonymized recommendation system, which is far better than the advertising model we deal with on the rest of the web
>The rewards come in the form of BAT, essentially a stable-coin which can be traded on every major crypto exchange

TLDR: If you need a Chromium/Blink-based browser, Brave is far and away the best option. Hands down. If you need a Gecko-based browser, IceCat or LibreWolf are ideal. These are the best browsers in existence right now.

Anyone else exclusively browsing high end websites to 'fool' the algos into believing you're a high end client who deserves high end, well paid ads?
I cant be the only one browsing rolex, mercedes, hilton, island holidays.

That's the plan for now. What if I told you there was a strong possibility that they will move away from the ETH blockchain in the future? ETH was just a stepping stone for them to get ICO monies and get the currency set up. And this is just me reading between the lines but Brendan doesn't seem very impressed with the ETH ecosystem as a whole because the devs are subpar when it comes to catching serious bugs that they write.

The ETH devs are good on their own, don't get me wrong, but their project coordination is severely lacking. Eich knows this so they have other solutions ready to go now if need be. I think either JPM coin or USDC will be the final settlement layer in the future. And I know this is sacrilegious to say for bizlets but you have to understand that Braves' first priority is getting a token driven cyber-economy off the ground with BAT and Brave. To do so they need to have on/off ramps for fiat that comply with US laws, because the rest of the world looks to us when it comes to banking compliance.

So if you're looking for a decentralized project this isn't it. But its a step towards a real one which is in everyones best interest.

> credit cards --> paypal --> venmo --> BAT

Ya it will most likely dip down to .15, and .10 at the lowest because they won't let it drop any lower than that.

And what most around here don't understand is that this is Silicon Valley's middle finger to Alphabet. Sergey Brin et al have been running the show for the past 15 years and everyone is tired of their shit. Not to mention that the US gov is too. Both from a consumer perspective and from an intel perspective. They see the writing on the wall for Google's utility and have jumped ship so to speak. So there's not a vested interest to protect them from that angle.

So there's move's being made way above the consumer level. So if you are smart enough to see that happening then you can benefit from that too if you aren't a brainlet.

It doesn't its a meme, certain equations within the whitepaper allude to the token growth being exponentially stable, but that does not imply a $1 ceiling

Im not larping, but maybe too brainlet for this. How many advertising centric cryptocurrencies do you know, this is a new idea and if it sees adoption and interest it'll grow and companies will be forced to change and adapt.I know you've just said no no no that cant happen, but look at history.

>Dow jones media group partnership

Plus the collection of already top tier sites signed up. When the normies start flooding and getting paid you'll see.

>BAT; Not enthused by this. It requires people to use their browser- I haven't read too much into it so I may be missing something, but I don't imagine people changing their browsers for a crypto. They might- i'm also not familiar with the industry and market potential for this coin.
>I'm not going to touch it- although I wish you luck.

Browser V1.0 made with chromium. Just like Chrome except you get paid to browse, have tor tabs, have no trackers or data breaches. etc

Plugins and extensions will transport BAT economic model over to other browsers

Only apple verified crypto, most chance of being listed and available everywhere

Partners include DOW Jones media > owned by Rupert Murdoch biggest media mogul in the world
