Tether itself is a giant liability at this point. Even if for some fantastical reason, known pedo and general criminal Brock Pierce has billions of dollars in a bank vault owned by the guy who made Inspector Gadget (Deltec is actually for real owned by Jean Chalopin), the public doesn't believe in them for even an instance, their 'dollar peg' gets erased daily, and they are injecting more funny money into an already funny money system to keep it from having a heart attack, slushing funds back and forth between whales and other exchanges.

The tether tendrils are systemic, and if it goes down, then all the other exchanges go down with it. A fun fact people miss is that most exchanges actually don't offer USD/crypto pairs, but USDT/crypto.

Those dollars were never dollars, but tether 'backed' pretend dollars printed by MoneyCrafta and Brock "EOS will change the world" Pierce.
