It's a lot of things, and inflation is definitely one of them. The democratization of trading is another. I think a fuckton of people got into crypto-trading in 2017, which was a stepping stone to actual stonks. This was accelerated by commission free trading and stuff like RobinHood. Also, for whatever reason, financial gurus like Dave Ramsey are exploding in popularity. Lot of new money in the market. Also constant news about overnight millionaires from BTC and WSB shenanigans are making the normies get in.

Hard to say though. Could be another great depression brewing. On the other hand, you could say with equal likelihood that this is just the new normal.
