Funding for NASA has decreased significantly and is a huge reason why private companies such as SpaceX are at the forefront of space travel now instead of government agencies. I'm actually glad Musks companies as well as Lockheed Martin, Raytheon etc are all subsidized by the government, I'd much rather my tax dollars going to them than the poor who contribute nothing to society and only mindlessly consume and buy the newest Yeezys and iPhone.
