if done for 24 hours, maybe just 20 hours to be cautious, then yes it can be good if you carbo-load right before you lift
but yea as soon as you use up fat stores, and sugar stores, you will be burning primarily muscle tissue for food (the very same muscles you want to build up with exercise). The body can choose where it takes protein from, aka it avoids bones, your heart, vital things like that, but you mentally, cannot

good for mentally easy shit (chase that animal until you are close enough to stab it and drink its blood), not so good for higher reasoning or complex/multitasking (time to file my taxes, or take that big math test at school, or do good at bar trivia night)
