I'll make it simple. Currently all web apps you use leverage a centralized storage system that is owned by x private company. They can do whatever they want with your data and you "trust" them to keep it safe. With blockchain, there's no need to trust a single entity; rather, a ledger (think of a long list of signatures that can never be changed) is maintained on various computers (the "decentralized network") and this is what then assures you that your data is safe.

is correct in that when actually "storing" the data on blockchain, many commonplace storage systems are still used such as AWS, etc. because they're easy and straightforward to implement. Ideally, you'd use IPFS or Storj, etc.

Ultimately, it all boils down to a system of trust. Blockchain is an alternative theory of trust more than anything.

reading anon here still reading:

"'Put all your eggs into one basket and then watch that basket,' proclaimed Andrew Carnegie a century ago. 'Do not scatter your shot. . . .The great successes of life are made by concentration." As Graham points out, 'the really big fortunes from common stock' have been made by people who packed all their money into one investment they knew supremely well."

Now, to maintain that big fortune (whatever that may be for you) is another story. Either way, I knew diversification was a meme.

you feel unfulfilled and you're looking for people to blame. forgive them anon. their support would've made things easier, but you don't need it to be who you want to be.

>dad abandoned me at birth
>left with single mother working two jobs
>zero guidance
>drop out of high school
>work close to minimum wage
>depressed, lonely
>read a fuck ton and realize that it doesn't make sense to allow myself to be so lost in this life
>grab onto my balls
>study like my life depended on it
>enroll into CC
>transfer to a top 1% institution

going to school for free now studying engineering. happy as fuck. you can do it anon. if your parents weren't the best, that's on them. everyone is flawed.

and once you're content with where you are, seek them out. tell them you forgive them. show them what you did without them, and give your kids everything.
