If you aren't a newfag you'd remember every once in a while you'd here about btc back when it was still pennies. Everyone simply called it a deep web currency. Back then people would rarely sell drugs, cp and fake passport for btc.

It seemed like a scam though. Nobody bothered reading the white paper because very few people knew it existed, even those that knew about btc.

Every once in a while you'd hear about btc after that. It's 5 dollars now. It's 30 dollars now. Growth was so slow it still seemed like a scam. Next thing you know btc is 300 dollars. If you live in CA and weren't from a poor family you were bound to know someone in crypto.
Once it hit 300 dollars i considered buying. Then it crashed. I knew it was scam all along.
I heard about btc again when it was 800m dollars. No way a single coin that was worth a fraction of a penny a couple years ago could possibly reach 1k. I was still young and stupid. I should have thrown all my money in at that very moment. I started trading when it reached 3k. I still didn't think it could possibly grow further but the 50% volatility was too much to ignore for a kid who just watched the wolf of wallstreet and was inspired. I was inexperienced and still didn't know shit about trading. I ended up losing money trying to swing trade and gave up thinking btc would crash any moment. I just wanted to forget my losses and move on. Then one day i hear btc is 10k. Price is too high now, I'll wait to buy in when it drops. It explodes to 20k. Fomo'd in at 14k. Made even with my losses from before and sold around 15. Watched it pump and dump and decided to do some actual dd.
Tl;DR it was like watching your daughter get raped by niggers and convincing yourself she's enjoying it. It was like watching your fellow slacker friend start a business. He kept offering you a job but you called him a try hard. Then you see him on the street a few years later and he has a lambo. He asks if you want a a job. As a janitor.

Will becoming rich even fix anything? I have a large link stack yet the massive swings of the last half year made me feel nothing, even if they represent years of working. I've tried ssri/testosteron/fitness/all diets/therapies/normie life/world traveling/working hard/not working/reading self help/reading philosophers/testosteron testing/fasting/no fap/hookers/MRI scans/homeopathy/eastern medicine/changing jobs/changing cities/social groups/new hobbies/farming/fishing/writing/painting
