The right does the same damn thing. Wanna drink a beer a day too early? Jail. Wanna smoke a leaf? Jail. Wanna not be taxed? Jail. Wanna hold the military accountable for war crimes? Jail. Wanna tell the NSA not to spy on their own citizens? Jail.
You gotta realise it's not about left vs right, it's about authoritarianism creeping into every avenue of government and giving flawed people the power to make laws that control what every single person does. No one should have that power because it screws everything up for everyone, hence why politics is such a disgusting partisan mess today because governments have so much power that every election becomes tHe MoSt ImPoRtAnT eLeCtIoN oF oUr LiFeTiMeS. The Founders understood this and that's exactly why they tried to limit the power of the Federal Government to a few, very specific areas. The answer is not giving power to the left or right, the answer is taking power away from government so retards of any political inclination can't get into power and control our damn lives.
