remember new friends, if you start looking into junior miners, we can help you with any questions you may have. Its best to stay away from that side of the market unless you know what your doing.

yea I want to pipe up that "sir your paying me $150 an hour to tell you where to look, as well as now these three other men, who have independently discovered hundreds of ounces, please listen to us so you dont go broke" but I ll hold my word. Sometimes people have to learn the hard way. Our mining washplants a hunk of crap but it works, its a little trommel (a rotating drum with a screen on one end that runs material to a sluice). Its finicky and could kill someone if improperly run but thats all mining gear.

yea its a pain, I ve known the land owner for years and I think hes telling the truth, but somethings not right about that dirt. Someone for sure shotgun salted it, but i am not sure why. Some of the junk washplants and gear laying around the site had amazing gold in them, one old sluice had 2 ounces in it for christs sake so who ever was mining here decades ago was finding serious gold, now we need to figure out just where that was.

How we looking today? Just ordered some neat old assay coins online after work. I was back out at that problem claim with my client, we did 600 shovels into the little trommal we have... and came up with about a tenth of a gram... So were done on that old spot and were going to do a series of test holes for another two weeks than call it. My clients satisfied that the grounds not great but still wants to try and learn what he can, and I am happy to oblige.

How are things today in the world of /pmg/? I see Warren Buffett has bought into Barrick Gold Corp, isnt that an interesting decision.

Been working again but had to call it quits for a few days on the clients minesite, wet weathers made the road in even worse and the new excavator isnt coming for at least a week.

Well that went better than expected today, at least we got some work done instead of fiddling about like morons. Land owner wont fess up to putting gold in the ground here, and its only looking more and more like someone took a shotgun shell and fired a load of random gold into the "pay piles". Thats not my problem, i am still getting paid $150 an hour for this, but the client is sure not thrilled about being stuck with this mess.

How went everyone elses day?
