I want to help him but I fear he's just too far gone. Burnt all the most important bridges in his life, ignored problems that were ballooning year over year, and dug himself into a hole that he might not ever be able to climb out of even if he started. Doesn't help that he seems to be staunchly atheist too (one of those "if god was real then why is my life so shit" types), so even his next life is hanging in the balance.
