why would you want to BUY when a 15 RMA crosses above a 50? wouldn't you want to SELL since this TA suggests prices will be going up. same question but the opposite: why would you want to SELL when the a 15 RMA goes below the 50 as this would suggest prices are going down and now they are "cheap" to buy and DCA into? seems like you want to DCA buy while things are going down and DCA sell when things are going up

side note: do you all prefer working for a BIG MEGA GLOBO company, or a smaller company? I used to work at a smaller company (~100 employees, my office had ~50) and now I work for a Fortune 500 with like 30k employees... the corporate bullshit is real. the bureaucracy is real. with that said, I got a 30% pay raise which is obviously the main reason I took it. things just feel a bit more soulless, and I'm worried that for the rest of my life I'll be working from home and speaking with talking heads on Microsoft Teams®. I guess on the flip side I am at my comfy home talking to you all and maybe working 4 hours a day? I've just always gotten meaning from work.. and now I don't.. pardon this schizo blog post, but like the rest of you, I have emotions believe it or not

Hmm I could also set a market order for NAK2 for $X amount of money, just worried if this is a stupid idea or not. Obviously the price will be volatile for a while, but we already know MSFT and some others are buying today, so the price should be going up today yes? oh fuck, options general. do you all believe in / follow / subscribe to technical analysis? I like the argument that "Well if everyone uses it it's bound to work" but I've looked at MACD and RSI and this and that and lost a fuck load of money before. just curious if you a) use it and b) if you do, is there any particular indication that has given you success?

I think you should learn it, at least learn popular indications like RSI, MACD, etc. TA is one more tool in the toolbox and nothing more. Investopedia.com was the most helpful, and there are some dingbat 23 yr old zoomer youtubers that are helpful too.

I'm too afraid of 2 & 3Xs - I throw money into QQQ, ARKG and SOXX. sure sure tech bubble will pop blah blah - nothing can be forcasted and the future cannot be proven. on the side with maybe a couple grand I fuck around with TA and options on blue chip stocks. I am still learning things as well and am maybe up $200. I got fucked good on some Intel calls thinking the price would jump up a bit

RSI is a fairly well known and arguably decently-used technical analysis indicator, so I'd say go for it, but you better be using other analysis as well (e.g. look at volume).
