Nobody is forced to buy a miner yet people are lusting to get one. You can just build one yourself.
The devs are in BTC since the early days and do not need any extra funding, everything that comes in from the miners will benefit further development of the project.

People don't get it that those miners are there to run the testnet so they can get real world data and are not a finished product that is gonna run a fucking global meshnet.
