Corgi is a pretty good breed for indoor time, but ime they are also really needy. Like you'll pick up your hand to reply to a post and the dog will start whining and trying to paw your hand back down onto its back. You will never be sitting a foot away from the dog, occasionally giving it a pat. It will be all over you at all times, or at least mine was.

The catch-22 with dogs is that the calmest ones are the biggest. They're calm because they like to rest between long walks. I agree with you about making it first and raising dogs afterward, with a nice big yard to run around in. I also want a big fucking bird like a galah or a macaw. Picrel costs $10-30k.
