Interesting, I see what you mean. That is to say that simply adopting it, rather than investing in it, would do wonders for the BAT ecosystem. To be fair, I guess that's the beauty of BAT, though. Investors, end users, advertisers; they can all get something worthwhile from the project. I think it's this versatility that's something to behold regarding BAT. Perhaps this odd universally attractive quality should be embraced rather than rejected, albeit this may be an unfamiliar and perhaps unsettling concept.
A proper analogy might be a "car." Cars are used for many things, not just driving from A to B. People enjoy cars in very different ways, be it sports, street racing, luxury, self expression, etc etc. It's that sort of thing. I think trying to confine BAT into this box would only slow its progress as its name seeps into the houses of your average user. All publicity is good publicity, you might say. That has its caveats of course, but in these early stages, just as Bitcoin had experienced, I think it's fine if people get the "wrong" idea about what BAT's all about.
