All these "what if someone comes to rape u" scenario only really applies to people who have already survived the bomb blast. Radiation falls off relatively quickly post nukes so unless they survive and turn into marauding raiders within days it wouldn't even matter that much. Supermarkets would have food for days, then regular homes for days more.

If you're now thinking of some total civilization breakdown and starvation scenario, that's incredibly unlikely but even then at some point you're going to want to leave the cuckbox.
