no that was a cleanup from a bit of trenching / ground sluicing, but it wasnt a long time, maybe 45 minutes worth of work from surface testing. Pay there is on surface, with little less than 6 inches of waste to work through, gold sitting mostly on a clay bed. It makes ground sluicing very easy.
You found the correct creek, but it has gold in multiple channels, the paleo channel sections only being one of them.

got any shots of the orange mineral? Its likely pyrite or chalcopyrite if your down stream from known copper mines.
Remember to keep checking different random areas, if your only getting flood gold, bigger gold will be down in the stream bed its self, likely in the heavy flow zones on bedrock.

Native gold and silver can be found in nugget form but silver is more rare in this state as it prefers to fore as alloys such as galena / argentite etc.

build a river sluice and wing dam when the water is low. make sure its dug into the gravels well enough so it doesnt wash away in rains. Retrieve your gold the next season. You can also just dig out drain culverts too, they often carry good gold so long as the insides riffled not flat.
