Some of it is because lighting and angle, picrel in daylight. I tried not to remove too much metal mysilf but yeah, they were among the worst of the batch and already rotting anyway. In general, I do like to get all the organic dirt off all my coies, though. Technically this is called restoration instead of cleaning (which removes surface layer metal), I think. But I'm no expert or anything. Numismatics isn't really my autism. I just like shiny. Also, I think it actually looks interesting how some of the copper shines through where the green gunk used to be. I guess that's the damage it does to the coin.
