Like I mentioned: there's no way to audit zk-SNARKs, and they require a trusted set-up. So we may not know for certain if there is a backdoor, however it is extremely likely to have one due to the caveats your CEO and scientist have said. It's shady af, and I'll never touch it because of those aforementioned reasons.
