i dont know enough, but if this is a technicality or trick, then it could be good (but not as good as money) to have it in silver dollars so
>deposit silver which at the time is worth $1000
>say this is 1000 $1 coins because im bad at math
>value of silver goes down
>you would get 1000 $1 coins, now worth say 900 $ in dollars
so its a bet for silver (and if silver goes up, which both should hope it never does(!), they would have less silver than to give out as they got $1000 worth which is now $1100)
but i prefer it being money in the opposite way, so everyone wins

this might also be good with cheques in foreign currency!
