it's a good coin to have. it's going to run the USDC blockchain so I think it will be the crypto people actually use at the point of sale- XRP won't be used to buy groceries, i don't think.

One thing I realized the other day is that XLM is being pushed hard in the 3rd world as part of their whole 'banking the unbanked' initiative. XLM is also running the USDC blockchain (widely speculated to be the digital dollar).

the US government is a little concerned about losing the reserve currency status of the dollar to Libra or Digital Yuan.

Stellar plays an important role, then, in allowing people in countries without a strong central bank of their own use the USDC as their digital currency (however one step removed, it's part of the same ecosystem)

Jed's illuminerty connections have been speculated about, along with the whole Economist cover from 1988 with the phoenix holding the coin with the Stellar logo on it thing. This, I think, is the connection. In an increasingly multipolar world, the US (and by extension the Western/Anglo/Europoean network of finance invested in its success and stability) will use XLM as the one world currency so that China and Big Tech don't destabilize the system by taking too big of a cut.

tldr Buy More XLM and ALGO if you've got spare cash
