i'm fortunate enough to marry a girl that believes finances should be completely separate. i work for mine and she for hers.
we have no say in either use and split all bills 50-50.
we both watched our parents get divorced over money and vowed not to let it split us.
luckily we make about the same and share hobbies/politics. i convinced her on gold but for whatever reason she just doesn't care for silver. also communist tried to kill her grandparents 100 years ago so that fuels her hatred. i also red pilled her on jews.

i love the stuff. if i could use it right now for everyday transactions i would. the small coins can get lost pretty easily so everyday carry would be a constant worry for me to lose something i can barely feel. a large slip of shiny brilliance would be difficult to absent mindedly misplace.

i love goldbacks. but you should be way more established before jumping into them.
the premiums are trash and i've found some trade offers for them. meaning i don't sell, but would trade one goldback for a cartoon of eggs from a farmers market. mostly it was larpy but i did get eggs a few cents cheaper than paying cash because my farmer friend is also part schizo.
i hope they take off and they do seem to be doing well.
