I just don't think there's anything dishonest about wanting the price of BAT to moon and at the same time wanting the Brave/BAT project to succeed immensely as a whole.

I'm delusional enough to believe BAT will ever be some insane pumpage token, but if BAT went to $100 in some insane world, it would do NOTHING NEGATIVE to the project. In fact it would literally only have positive effects for the project and its popularity. So people should stop trying to pussyfoot around the topic. I know the Brave team can't speculate on price/pump their own token (without advertisers buying), but users have every right to speculate and it shouldn't be discouraged. It's a natural part of the crypto environment. Brendan knew that when he got into all of this.
