thank you but it seems scalping refers to something fraudulent. What I meant was noticing trends in how the price of stocks go up or down and simply investing at the point you expect to be low and selling at a point you can reasonably expect (judging by recent stock price history) to be high. It's not pumping and dumping; it's more about knowing that company A can be expected to go up to 15% before going down by about 15% as evidenced by recent cycles.
