What do you guys think is the smarter option? I'm late 20s, working remotely making $110k, 6 figs in crypto

A. Keep paying $1600/month to rent a 1 bedroom apartment in a town with a 500k population (mostly retired boomers, college people, and Mexicans). The main benefit is it's convenient being with my gf, but I'm bored here.

B. Move an hour away to my hometown with 50k people and pay $800/month to rent a 2-bedroom apartment (got family and old friends here, higher white demographic). The main downside is my family randomly shows up at my door all the time. My gf would want to move in while splitting rent, so potentially I'd only pay $400/month. I'd probably also be bored here, but at least I keep a lot more money.
