I've experimented with picking stocks through a pendulum and then swing trading them. I've done this with 10 stock and I made money on 6 out of 10 of them. Statistically, having a 60% hit rate is insanely good -certainly good enough to become rich- but I pussied out with further experimentation because when I did lose money I found it psychologically untenable and I was never quite sure whether or not it was actually working or whether I was getting lucky.
I suppose I should set aside an amount of money I'm willing to lose, and then do a trial where I pick a 100 stock to see if there's actually a statistically significant edge.
Other than that, there's a definite link between astrology and the market's movements but I never delved deep enough into astrology to be able to exploit that link.

All things being equal, if the market was truly a random walk (it isn't), you could flip a coin and be just as likely to succeed on trades. What matters the most is risk management, trade psychology, and position sizing. Especially the risk management. Once you have those established, you can be a successful trader long term.
Since the method of entry doesn't really matter you could just as well use astrology (I actually follow the ideas of the Benner Cycle since it makes tangible sense)

It's also tricky because if you found success, why the fuck would you share it? Arbitrage would remove any kind of edge you have if people could replicate it easily. Similarly, every trader is unique. We could follow the exact same system and have two completely different results end of year due to psychological trade differences
