Paper gold is for speculating and trading.

Physical gold is can't cash out generational wealth; it's a safe ponzi.
If you put it there that means you already have stocks, real estate crypto and other assets. IE you're only putting it there cause you have no where else to put it.
Dealer premiums, transactions fees and restrictive local markets means there's no real point in selling gold. Whereas with btc it's volatile but at least you can trade it with a truly global market anytime you want.
