My girlfriend (I guess ex) just dumped me because I can't "afford to keep up with her lifestyle". She has a trust fund and a LOT of family money and properties, and she is basically a 1%er and can travel and laugh off any financial problem normal people would have. She doesnt have a job herself but that "doesn't matter" apparently.

I just make 6 figures in tech, my family is upper middle class, and I can't afford to travel first class every other month and fuck off on a 3 month holiday. This girl can snap her fingers and her dad can buy her literally anything she asks for. For her birthday I got her a gift worth hundreds of dollars and she let it slip that her family scoffed at it and that made me feel like shjt (maybe it was the gift itself?)

I've been snubbed and rejected by other women for my appearance, for my personality, for my lack of bed skills, but literally being told I'm broke after working all these years and going into student loan debt to get to this point is a special kind of sting. Honestly I kind of want to now start a side business or something just to get rich and snub her, but I also don't want her living in my head rent free.
I'm salty and hurt.
What do and how do I cope?
