Is there a way to actually programmatically trade using uniswap?

I tried reading their typescript API docs and it shows you how to create and populate a Trade entity but it doesn't fucking show you how to actually sign and send the fucking transaction

Trying to buy STA on Uniswap (v2) and I'm watching the price go up before my eyes but my transaction is just pending.

Can someone give me any tips? I have tried to send an empty tx with 0 to myself using same nonce but that got stuck too?
Is it possible it is Uniswap error as so many people trying to buy STA before any whales land in?
