Of these two scenarios, brazilification is the more likely. Both, however, will reduce america to a fraction of its former self (moreso than it is already). Unfortunatly all multi-ethic societies throughout history are disasters, america is proving to be no exception. Ultimately the two biggest factors that make a country successful are property rights and average IQ of the population, and both are being diminished by immigration.

And this is coming from people with severe trump derangement syndrome. As usual 99% of people only see what allows them to exist in as much emotional comfort as possible. Most are going to lose with what is coming down the pike, because the current era of global fiat currency is terminal, and all functional countries including china and the US are in demographic decline. High IQ populations are in reproductive collapse, and are at best being replace by sucking the small elite out of a country like india, but mostly we are getting hordes of low IQ peasantry from africa, the middle east and latin america.
