I looked into it briefly last year, when they were still in Estonia. You could buy from any country, but you had to send your own private courier, or go pick up the metals yourself. I think they had a list of recommended companies for private courier or something, I don't remember which ones.
But I was new to all this (started buying last May) and it seemed like some extra hoops to jump through, so I didn't do it.

Apparently there exists software that lets you print your own checks. I never used it myself and don't know the program name, but I once worked for someone that just printed out checks on his laser printer. It was a long time ago, his PC was running Win98.
