>hurr durr i broke SHA256 but I just used it to fuck with bitcoin

On the flip side, anyone remember the Satoshi Nakamoto miner on the Bitcoin cash network? It was basically mining two blocks in a row, because the second block would be found in under a minute.

Overall, 2/10 bait.

brainlet here, question about US long term capital gains

the 0% bracket is $0 to $38,600 TAXABLE income
now I make 45k, I put in $3000 into my HSA & 10,000 into my 401k.

So this would "technically" bring my taxable income down to 32k. 32k falls under the 0% bracket.

Is this how long term capital gains work? Or is it just gross income and not AGI?

I used to swing trade mining stocks, that shit is volatile as fuck and you get a lot of chances to buy low sell high.

But the problem is, eventually the market moves significantly and you're stuck on the wrong side of a trade. E.g. you bought at the bottom but then the price of the commodity collapses and the price of the mining stock drops even more.

A lot of people on /biz/ try the same thing with crypto. Same thing applies -- you can make money sometimes but if you're short when the market goes up or long when the market drops you get trapped in a bad trade that you have to take a big loss to exit out of.

Honestly you're better off buying BTC like the other anon said, or putting the money into index funds or dividend stocks.
