Here in yuropoor we have steel with copper electroplating, for the lowest denomination. But the euro is becoming so incredibly worthless than even a 1 micron electroplating is now too expensive so they are considering making it illegal to round prices more than 1 decimal after the dot to get rid of the 2c and 5c coins ( so basically 19.99 would become 19.90, or 20). They already did this for several EU nations by removing from circulation 1c and 2c coins in 2021 during the lockdowns (how convenient).
