panning, depends on a lot of things. Weather, is the big factor, and what ground I am working on. My placer claims in the high country northern BC are excellent, I recovered 21 ounces by hand two years ago and last year only 11 due to poor weather. Best year I ever had placer mining was 70 ounces by digging out this amazing gut of a bedrock channel in the Barkerville area, guyet placer is the name of the area if you want to look for your self. I ve done better though from doing work on hardrock claims, not mining them but proving the ground up and selling it off to bigger companies for a percentage.
