Any other /biz/nessmen come from inherently poor families? I grew up in a small town where pretty much everyone was poor and it is extremely cyclical. Poor families make bad financial decisions and teach them to their kids who become poor because they stay in the town, rinse and repeat ad infinium.

My question to anyone else who has made it out of this type of situation is, what was your motivation? As self righteous as it sounds, I just knew I wasn't meant to be poor and uneducated forever so I just got out.
