2nd to market usually has the advantage in tech so I wouldn't be so sure. ETH seems to be getting complacent and the biggest factor to ETH's marketcap was the ICO boom which has slowed to a trickle. ETH also isn't really focused on grass roots enterprise adoption but more on the top down ICO/dApp economy, as well as having security concerns.

I don't think it's decided just yet, I think the smart strategy is to put money into whatever small/mid cap platforms look like they'll be around and onboarding new projects when next bull run starts, then hedge with ETH.
