I had less than $7 to my name a year and a half ago. Today I have over 95k and I don't have a degree and also don't have an actual job (I work for myself, doing online shit). I suggest you read "Ham on Rye" by Charles Bukowski. The man was a miserable degenerate, but you can learn something from his drunken musings.

Also, "Hear of Darkness" by Joseph Conrad. Brilliant novella (<200 pages) that was the basis for "Apocalypse Now". Essentially a tale about man's hubris, breaking down of distinctions between upper and lower class in an anarchic setting, etc. Incredible writing, you'll love it.

If you drink, stop doing that. Same with smoking weed, let your brain's ability to regulate endorphins and such recover. You don't have to quit forever, but take a break. Go for a walk, get up and do something, get some more oxygen flowing to your brain.

Everyone feels like this sometime. Watch Taxi Driver, listen to a great album (check out Maggot Brain by Funkadelic), you should feel grateful just to be alive. There are still great things you could experience, see, or do. These feeling will pass.
