Helping my mom rebalance her portfolio after she's closing this schwab account she accidentally overdrew cash from since its so opaque. She's also nearing retirement which is another reason to change her portfolio which was about 95% equities.

Idea is

Any other boomer tier funds I should think about?

i'm not saying one's better than the other, just that there are differences. Debt money has also operated without governments, as well, debt after all is just a promise and many small local communities throughout history would use debt over proper commodity money, even, ironically enough, the communities trading nails that adam smith cited as commodity money. The difference is important because one derives it's value from credibility, future expectations, and the underlying economy, the other derives its value from labor/natural supply constraints.
