Ultimately the dems are fucked no matter what they do however, as the economic situation is simply out of the government's hands. This is the result of polices going way back to the tepid response to 2008, the abject failure to pass any fiscal policy of consequence and the increasing overreliance of exotic tools used by the fed as monetary policy+ has set everything up for collapse again.
