seemly nothing has happened with link in quite some time, all they seem to do is integrate with literal whos and it's been incredibly disappointing and tiring - with the exception of the brief flash to $20. the bullish undercurrent that most haven't picked up on is all the hiring/expansion they've been doing (top tier hires too, check it out) and the coming release of their 2.0 whitepaper. this along with deco and arbitrum signal a huge move toward expansion. chainlink is no shit moving out of the world of "scrappy community of devs and passionate evangelists" that characterizes most successful crypto projects and phasing into becoming a bona fide big dick big tech early stages FAANG type company. faces will melt next year if not sooner.

in spite of unequivocally being the single most important crypto project out there and its staggering potential most people here would agree that $5 is too expensive. most of us bought in sub $1 or even sub 50c and have a significant amount, so we have no real impetus to continue accumulating aside from the rare mega dump. on top of this, most shitcoin bagholders who bought the top of the 2017 bullrun are still underwater, so rather than face reality and abandon whatever top 10 "blue chip" they're holding for something that has actually performed (like link) they'll ride it out to zero because that'd somehow be less painful.
the way is shut.
our only hope for a real link moon into the double digits and beyond will be real institutional use. neet and retail investors have all committed to their positions - neets in link ushering in the 4th industrial revolution and redditors in whateverthefuck 2017 shitcoin they think will become the new global peer-to-peer mango stand dApp network currency.
everything in the top ten needs to die. this whole stupid fucking market needs to burn to the ground. we need these top ten diarrhea tokens to dump so hard that redditors are dousing themselves in gasoline and self immolating in the streets en masse. the entire fucking narrative for what crypto is needs to be rewritten in the blood of smooth brain dumb money redditors who still haven't figured it out.

Enterprise systems implementing the use cases described in this blog and thereby driving increased traffic onto the network is what generates value. Pitching to normies does not and Sergey has explicitly stated he is against that type of shilling. He has already secured 100's of data providers and over 10k node operators including autists from biz. Only a newfag would think normie adoption of the token could possibly drive significant price action. This project lives or dies by institutional adoption. No amount of shilling to normies will speed that up.

I wish faggots like him would keep quiet. We basically created guys like this with our autism. But they aren't actually helping adoption by spamming this shit all day. Just stroking their egos and exposing undeserving plebs to their investment. Blowing the whistle too early. It should be kept as stealthy as possible until everything is up and running at full capacity. Even the breadcrumbs that are currently out would be invisible without us uncovering them and hype men like this spreading them to the wind.

can any non-brainlets on here deduce when we can expect mainnet based on the pivotal tracker and github? we're always told that these are the roadmap but in an entire year nobody has been able to predict jack shit based on their contents.

we've gotten enough partnership announcements to know link's the real deal. dot connecting needs to become focused on mainnet release. it's the only area we've made literally zero headway.

http://www.itespresso.fr/blockchain-salesforce-offre-globale-septembre-186950.html

>Salesforce expects, by the end of September, to offer "all [its] customers" a "blockchain and cryptocurrency solution". What is it now?

>Partnerships, acquisitions, developments in-house or a little of the three?

>Salesforce remains discreet about the means that will be used to its ambitions in the blockchain.

>The American publisher has set a deadline: the next edition of the annual conference Dreamforce, from 25 to 28 September 2018.

>The competitor SAP has been offering since last year, as part of its "digital innovation system" Leonardo , a "blockchain as a service" offer . In particular, he has teamed up with Capgemini on this front, using statistics from the World Economic Forum: 10% of global GDP will be stored in blockchains by 2027.

>Salesforce is not yet on this track *, but partners have already joined its platform through applications available on the AppExchange.

>Dapps.ai is one of them. The Californian start-up promises to create a link between business processes, including through a middleware and a system for creating smart contracts . In particular, it communicates in terms of "distributed" customer service involving all stakeholders around shared data.

>* The name of Salesforce is however regularly associated with that of ChainLink . The young company operates a project to simplify the connection of smart contracts to resources external to blockchains.

Salesforce Plans Global Offer for September = Chainlink Mainnet out by the end of September

Lads, I'm a brainlet.
Can someone explain to me how Link's price is less now, despite all the good news, than back in December when there was even less news?

Is it because alt-coins have their price matched with BTC/ETH, like their the gold standards of Crypto?

But they are two separate products, so how would that be the case? how does this actually work?

It's definitely a possibility, and I think the chances of it being up to $100 are decent.

I know a guy who knows a producer for a major record label, manager for a huge British band you've probably heard of - and last November he put £250k into chainlink due to an industry rumour.

take that with a pinch of salt, but if there's some truth in that then fuck, we're golden.

>>8945700
oh no way? where are you from then boyo?

also, if I started tripfagging as 'Welshlad', would you all be my friend and say nice things about Link?

Fair question. When you set up a node, you are prompted for a new node password. Note, this is not the 'twochains' password from the docs (thats for authorizing the CL HTTP gets/posts).
I haven't looked into the wallet that much, I just threw .02 eth and 20 or 25 stinkies into it and moved on. I would assume that the node password controls access to your private key, but I haven't verified this. This will be something ill look into later in the week

lol and all this assumes sergey didnt install a backdoor within the node webserver code, and thus could steal all our eth / stinkies when mainnet has been running for 12 months
