the funniest thing, right after i started getting into this stuff, a giant nunnery 10 minutes from my house started a regenerative agriculture school project.
all the nuns are like 80 years old so they are trying to figure out what to do with this huge old building and the surrounding 400 acres of land, and now i'm helping them make their website and social media and grantwriting and whatnot. it's crazy how the universe will open doors for you.

ReFiDAO's localNodes program is also pretty cool, and Bloom Networks.
check their websites and see if there is a group near you and get involved! any anons in the greater toronto area, michigan, PNW and western mass/upstate new york there are definitely cool things happening as well.

meeting people from online is always going to be a little weird so my recommendation would be to look up your local permaculture hippies (farmers markets, farm tours/field days and seminars are a good place to start plugging in)

ReFi/permaculture folks tend to be pretty crunchy-inclusive-woke so you might want to tone down the /pol/ white nationalism if that is something you subscribe to, keep the spaghetti in your pocket if at all possible. (you will find that many permaculture-localist folks are not necessarily SJW woke either)

alternately, you can look up the Network State/pop-up cities. I have met people from Cabin, Vitalia and Metacartel and they are all good folks, if a bit wide-eyed.

the Network State folks definitely are more AnCap/accelerationist/e-acc than ReFi's emphasis on solarpunk, indigenous, hippie "coordi-nation" vibes
(now, whether ReFi's hippie vibes are real or just PR to sell a totalitarian, sociopathic VC-funded groupthink carbon credit tokenized everything surveillance nightmare is a different question...)
