desu I don't really buy the whole "suppressed" story, VIX was at lower levels pre-covid, and now it's going back to lower levels. The 2022 bear market masked the down trend of VIX so it seems sudden, but it was there and it's playing out like the previous recoveries.

Either way it's always possible that it will spike like it has spiked before, so if you short you should assume that it will.
