Couldn't find a thread on this topic. I am close to completing a degree in applied math (spring 2025) and one of the electives I'm taking next semester claims to teach everything required for the first CAS exam. I'm sure there are many people on this board employed as an actuary or something similar. Is this a career worth pursuing? What would I need to make close to six figures out the door, just the first three exams? People keep saying how brutal these exams are, but how bad are they really? I have a 3.73 GPA and will likely finish just under a 3.8. I just want a high pay/security job in Michigan.
