The bubble is fueled by organizations and individuals that feed the climb by buying more property before normal people can buy it. This is fueled by many things, the idea that houses are gold bricks, that houses are a great way to receive passive income, stick a housing management company on your rentals and it's passive money- or so they think. Also fueled by the fact that by the time next year rolls around, you can sell it and make a profit without even having to do much to it at all. It's a yearly thing because of tax codes. Flipping without any work, that's what the ibuyer companies did.

Could be to demolish them and build legitimate storefronts, business, etc. It's really artificial scarcity. Houses as stocks for elite power players and large organizations. When they stop buying in is when it pops.

When everyone realizes that the numbers on the chart won't go up anymore, when inventories get bought out. What happens then? Well the inventories will never catch up with how quickly people with money can buy them. Simply put, the people who have the money need to stop buying in for some reason.

Which will trigger a cascade of people and organizations who have all of the inventory to try to sell. The only time it stops is when rich people decide they want to buy again. Which probably wouldn't happen for awhile.
