I've been thinking about what will happen in the next decade when tuition fees have skyrocketed, whilst most degrees have become completely worthless and even 'good' ones are only worth the experience alongside them. Zoomers have been fed the 'study hard, it's the only way to succeed' message for their entire lives, now many of them are stuck back in the minimum wage McDonald's jobs they studied specifically to avoid with debt that would take their entire wages for several years to pay off. They can't escape, no wonder they're so miserable and pessimistic. Imagine how bad it will be in 5-10 years when those people have been out of college for years and the vast, vast majority have no shot at anything above min wage employment despite their qualifications. Top it off with rising inflation and the possibility the housing market never comes down, they're gonna get completely fucked beyond hell.
