depends on who you ask, but they threw their work force and contractor staff under the bus for the Mt Polley mine disaster, one of the worst fuck ups in modern mining history in north america. Mt Polley Mine's tailings dam failed, dumping millions of tonnes of mine waste into a nearby watershed, and ended up in Quesnel Lake, killing thousands of fish and contaminating an entire watershed. The company than went around and basically told their workforce it was their fault, not corporates, and that they should be held accountable. Now no one wants anything to do with Imperial Metals.
