It still fucks me up that I was 22 years old and it took me 2 months to save 2k and my only expenses were bus fare and buying groceries. Before then back in 2015 it took me 8+ months to save up that much working temp jobs because I owed the bursar office money. I would refuse the bus and walk home just to save $2, it was fucking rough.
Experincing something like that where it takes you months to put together what most people have to put together in rent fucks up your psych. To this day I'm still crabby with money because I never know where my next bit of income is coming from. I busted my ass through my Electrical Engineering degree. Meanwhile my peers all drove $30k cars and had jobs making $25/hr without college degrees. They were moving up to jobs making 70k+

I graduated last month
During corona virus
And the only people calling me back are staffing agencies. They tell me my expectations of 60k are too high. $20/hr is all they will offer. Even when I accept they don't ever call me back...

Its just the corona virus right guys?
